Our heritage

The Community Broker Network (CBN) came together from three separate networks: Westcourt General Insurance Brokers(established 1982), NAS Insurance Brokers (established 2001) and the CGU AR Network (tracing back to 1916).

In 2017, these three networks came together to form one strong network of approximately 400 authorised brokers, servicing more than 200,000 SME businesses.

The Community Broker Network’s purpose is to support our communities so they can sustain, grow and thrive.

Oracle Insurance Solutions is a member of the National Insurance Brokers Association of Australia (NIBA), the national trade association for insurance brokers in Australia.

Since 1982, NIBA has been a driving force for change in the Australian insurance broking industry, setting higher standards of professionalism and education for insurance brokers, establishing professional qualifications and providing ongoing training and support. NIBA represents more than 360 member companies operating out of nearly 800 offices Australia-wide.

We are bound by NIBA’s Insurance Brokers Code of Practice. For our clients, this means that we are committed to providing high standards of customer service; a free and transparent complaints and compliance review process; and to abide by any binding sanctions imposed upon us under the Code for any breach.

Steadfast

CBN is a member of the Steadfast Group – the largest insurance broker network in Australia and New Zealand.

Oracle Insurance Solutions, as an authorised representative of CBN, is therefore able to pass the benefits from the relationship between CBN and Steadfast to you as one of our clients.
